Reclaiming Self-Energy: A Path Beyond Clinician Burnout
A communal conversation on burnout, rest, and renewal with Angelica De Anda, LMHC
The Collective Skillshare is a dynamic lunch-and-learn style workshop series designed to foster ongoing professional development and community connection.
This month, we have the privilege of learning with and from fellow member Angelica De Anda, LMHC, EMDR Certified Therapist and WA State Approved supervisor. Angelica specializes in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care and is passionate about supporting clinicians in sustaining their work without losing themselves in the process.
Together, we’ll explore how clinician compassion can slowly shift into burnout, and how practices of self-energy, communal healing, rest, and nervous system regulation can guide us back toward balance. Drawing on polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, and Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith’s work on the 7 types of rest, this workshop will open space for reflection, learning, and shared conversation.
Through this workshop you’ll learn about:
Recognizing the subtle ways compassion can evolve into burnout
Applying polyvagal theory to understand and regulate stress responses
Tapping into IFS self-energy to sustain your clinical presence
Integrating the 7 types of rest into your personal and professional rhythms
The role of community and connection in restoring resilience

Angelica De Anda
I’m Angelica De Anda (she/her), LMHC, EMDR Certified Therapist and WA State Approved Supervisor. I’m offering this gathering because I care deeply about creating spaces where clinicians can find rest, connection, and renewal in the work we do. My work is rooted in a holistic framework, trauma-informed, culturally responsive care — drawing from EMDR, polyvagal theory, and parts work (IFS) - and I love weaving these practices into both my therapy work and community conversations.
