Art Walk | The Weight of Soft Things | Reed McCoy

  • The Apothecary at Shelterwood Collective 108 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA, 98104 United States (map)

Please join us Thursday, March 5 from 5-8p in The Apothecary for The Weight of Soft Things, a solo exhibition by Reed McCoy.

This exhibition explores grief as a quiet, shifting space between presence and absence.

The pieces reflect on the thoughts of “Who are we today?” and “Who do we long to be?”
Sometimes, it represents the longing for someone who was once by your side in daily life.
Other times, the work can feel like a fleeting moment of warmth and fear, altogether.
The works attend to understated moments of yearning, softness, and emotional distance, offering a gentle reflection on what it means to hold loss without fully naming it.
