P.S. We Love You —a love letter to one of Seattle's most enduring creative neighborhoods.

September 3 - October 30 2026

Please join us Thursday, September 3, from 5–8pm in The Apothecary for P.S. We Love You, a group exhibition featuring work by Eric Boekelheide, Jane Richlovsky, Ash Kopetzky, Iskra Johnson, Grace Chen and Guinevere Johnson.

Inspired by Pioneer Square, its history, architecture, artists, streets, and the countless stories embedded within them, P.S. We Love You is a celebration of a neighborhood built on its own foundation, one that has long nurtured creativity while continually reinventing itself.

Since 1981, Pioneer Square has been home to the nation’s longest-running monthly First Thursday Art Walk, establishing a lasting tradition of artistic exchange, gathering, and community. This year, the neighborhood reached another milestone with its designation as Washington State’s 25th Creative District by ArtsWA.

The exhibition explores the many layers of Pioneer Square: its beauty and grit, community and resilience, resistance and preservation, memory and transformation, renewal and reinvention. Through their varied perspectives, the artists consider the people, places, histories, and creative spirit that continue to shape the neighborhood, and the ways a place can hold both what has been and what is still becoming.

P.S. We Love You is a love letter to Pioneer Square, to its enduring legacy as a place where people gather, histories overlap, and creativity persists. Whether rooted in personal connection, historical reflection, or an imagined future, these works celebrate a neighborhood that has inspired generations of artists and continues to invite new stories.
