Resource Share: Health Insurance for Us

Figuring out health insurance as a small business owner can feel confusing, overwhelming, or even impossible. Join us for our very first Resource Share, a new Shelterwood Collective series offering practical tools and expert guidance to help sustain our businesses.

This month we’ll be joined by Cindy Hagen of Hagen Insurance Partners, a trusted broker who has supported many of us in navigating the complex world of health insurance. Cindy will walk us through options available to small business owners — including what’s possible through your business and what’s offered through the WA Healthcare Exchange. She will also hold space for your questions and ideas for next steps.

Cindy’s services are free of charge, and her expertise is grounding and empowering. We’re grateful to have her guidance as we learn how to care for ourselves while caring for others.

Cindy Hagen has been an independent insurance agent since 2007, and prior to that she worked in the IT department for a national property and casualty insurance company.  

A life long Seattleite, she is the daughter of a retired independent insurance agent, and has grown up around the business (she was her dad’s retirement plan and bought out his business).

In her time off, you will find her reading a good book, taking pottery classes, going to a Mariner game, or waiting for the next Doctor Who episode to be released.
