Mosslight
Mosslight gathers the wild energy of the garden- inviting a glimpse into the exuberance of growth.
Please join us Thursday, September 4 from 5-8p in The Apothecary for the opening of Mosslight, a solo exhibition by Guinevere Johnson.
“To romanticize the world is to make us aware of the magic, mystery and wonder of the world; it is to educate the senses to see the ordinary as extraordinary, the familiar as strange, the mundane as sacred, the finite as infinite.” Novalis
Guinevere Johnson
Guinevere Johnson is a lifelong artist with a focus on sculptural oil painting. Her style revels in the emotional power of color and the mystical symbolism of garden flowers and landscape. Unifying the representational and abstract, she builds richly layered applications to make the materiality of oil paint a part of her subject. Since turning to studio work full time in 2009, Guinevere has collaborated with a broad range of designers and creatives who are drawn to her playful enthusiasm for beauty and the fantasy world she nurtures.
