Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate

(she/her)

As a child therapist, I have the honor of working with children, tweens, and teens navigating challenges such as autism, anxiety, and ADHD. My approach is grounded in two core principles: being strengths-based and trauma-informed. Rather than focusing on what a child "can’t" do, I look for what they can already do well. Every child has unique strengths, and these become the foundation for our work together. Whether it's a child's creativity, curiosity, or sense of humor, we use these qualities to build confidence, develop coping skills, and foster emotional growth. Being trauma-informed means I recognize how past experiences can shape behavior. I meet each child with empathy, patience, and a deep respect for their individuality. Through play we create a safe and supportive space where healing, learning, and connection can flourish. In every session, my goal is to help children feel seen, heard, and empowered to be themselves. When children feel safe and understood, they thrive.

My background includes two graduate degrees in behavior disorders, and marriage, couple, and family therapy, and more than twenty years of clinical experience with children and families. I have worked with families experiencing anxiety, depression, learning disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, domestic violence, medical trauma, resource insecurity, and many other challenges.
