Teenager, Individual, Couple and Family Therapist

(she/her)

Hi, I’m Dr. Jingshuai Du, a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) serving clients in Washington and Maryland, and the founder of Wholeness Healing Psychotherapy.

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating life’s complexities—especially those facing transitions like strained couple and family dynamics, cultural identity shifts, new motherhood or neurodiversity. Many of my clients are Asian Americans, immigrants, or adult children of immigrants seeking a therapist who just gets the unspoken tensions between cultures, generations, and personal growth. Others come to me feeling disconnected in their relationships or overwhelmed by the invisible pressures of trying to hold everything together.

🌿 我相信疗愈发生在我们感到安全、被看见、并重新连结自己的那一刻。

 Why I do this work

As a Chinese immigrant, a mom to a toddler, and a partner in a biracial marriage, I know firsthand how complex, joyful, and painful our relationships and life transitions can be. My personal journey helps me understand the nuanced challenges you may be facing — from cultural identity and family expectations to postpartum struggles and couple conflict. These personal experiences inform my approach as a therapist—I bring warmth, presence, and cultural humility into the room.

I became a therapist because I care deeply about helping people make sense of their inner world, strengthen their relationships, and reclaim their sense of wholeness. I know how powerful it is to be truly heard, especially when your experiences don’t fit into mainstream narratives..

🌿 作为一位母亲和华人移民,我了解身份的多重面貌,也知道什么是两个文化之间的挣扎与融合。这些经验帮助我更有同理心地陪伴每一位走进咨询室的你。

My approach

I practice from an attachment-based, emotionally attuned lens, and draw from culturally responsive, trauma-informed models. My approach is rooted in helping clients integrate their emotions, identities, and relationships so they can feel more whole and secure within themselves.

I truly believe that human connection is the foundation of happiness and health. When we feel safe and loved in our relationships, we develop confidence, courage, and resilience. But when our connections are strained, we often find ourselves feeling anxious, depressed, or stuck. That’s why I approach therapy through an attachment-based lens, emphasizing the need for secure and loving connections throughout our lives.

My clients often say that therapy with me feels both grounding and gently challenging. I’m here to help you explore your inner world, tend to the relationships that matter most, and reclaim a sense of wholeness—whatever that means for you.

I offer therapy in both English and Mandarin (普通话), and I love creating a space where people feel deeply seen and safe.

🌿 我的工作方法融合文化敏感度与依附理论,让你在咨询中既能找到情绪上的支持,也能感受到文化背景被理解与尊重。

While I specialize in working with Asian and multicultural clients, I welcome individuals and families from all backgrounds. My practice is a space for anyone seeking warmth, depth, and healing.

If you are ready to begin your journey toward healing and wholeness, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
