Psychotherapist

(she/her)

I bring my genuine warmth and compassion to my therapeutic work, and operate from a position of non-judgement that views each person within their environment. My methods include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy and also connecting to the wisdom of our bodies and welcoming the parts of ourselves that were lost or fought for our survival. In therapy I cover: experiences of complex trauma, intimate partner violence, intergenerational trauma, and parenting.

In therapy we will work together to identify your goals and the best ways to accomplish those goals. I typically work with clients to identify their current symptoms and responses to trauma, their current coping strategies and coping skills they would like to add. Once we have built a foundation of safety and coping skills then we can start reprocessing distressing experiences to further reduce your current symptoms. Clients typically report reduced symptoms and a strengthened sense of self.

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
