Kelsey Moll, LMHCA
Psychotherapist
(she/her)
Do you ever feel like you’re white-knuckling your way through life? Maybe there’s a voice inside that keeps telling you to try harder, do better, or just hold it all together. From the outside, you may seem like you’re doing fine, while on the inside you’re wondering why everything feels so hard.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand why we’re struggling, or why the same things trip us up over and over. This is exactly where therapy can help. I work with adults and couples who are struggling with anxiety, relationships, grief, life transitions, perfectionism, body image, or patterns they can’t seem to change on their own.
In therapy, we’ll slow things down and get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface. Rather than trying to fix uncomfortable thoughts or feelings, we’ll work to understand where they come from and what they might be telling you. Often, the ways we learned to cope or protect ourselves made sense at one point in our lives, even when they’re no longer serving us in the same way. When we recognize these patterns we can begin to change the ways we respond.
My work is primarily psychodynamic and informed by attachment theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). I believe that understanding ourselves more deeply gives us more choice in how we move through the world, which makes all the difference in how we relate to ourselves internally and others externally.
