Psychotherapist

(she/her)

You may feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, doubt, or shame. Maybe uncertainty feels unbearable, or you feel caught in cycles of reassurance-seeking, rumination, or checking. When we are left alone with our thoughts, they can feel all-consuming and even threatening. If this sounds familiar, things don’t have to stay this way.

I’m Sofie Phillips, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in OCD, anxiety disorders, emotion dysregulation, and pervasive shame themes. My experience spans medical social work, community mental health, and group practice, where I have worked with a diverse range of ages and populations. I offer an integrative approach to therapy, combining evidence-based practices, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with lived experience, curiosity, and authenticity.

Good therapy is not one-size-fits-all—it should be collaborative and adaptive. I am committed to approaching my work with the openness, humility, and transparency necessary to embrace complexity. Together, we will focus on disentangling your true self from your thoughts in order to build a meaningful life alongside uncertainty.
