(They/Them)
There are many things in this world that can complicate life and it can be challenging to navigate it. Societal pressures place unrealistic standards and oppressive systems create barriers. This takes a toll on our bodies and minds. It makes us feel as though we will never be enough. My goal is to create a safe space for us to explore your authentic self together. To find ways to work with your body and mind instead of against it.
Personally, I have faced various challenges throughout my life related to my experience as a fat bodied, queer, neurodiverse human. After going through my own therapy journey, I decided to walk the path to become a health care provider. Starting out, I focused on nutrition and received my undergraduate degree in Nutrition Science from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA in 2019. As I observed how nutrition and mental health are intertwined with one another, I went on to receive my masters degrees in Nutrition Science and Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University in 2022.
During my graduate program, I had the opportunity to intern in a community mental health organization focused on the LGBTQ+ community. After graduation, I had another opportunity to continue to work in community mental health with an organization focused on working with BIPOC communities.
