Counseling Resident

(they/them)

I work with people who are tired of shrinking themselves to survive: queer and trans people, survivors, sex workers, neurodivergent people, and anyone carrying grief, anger, so-called trauma, or the weight of systemic violence.

My style is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. I’m here to support you in getting to know yourself more deeply and building tools and capacities so you can live into your power, your imagination, and your right to take up space. I believe healing is messy, nonlinear, and deeply tied to connection — with your body, your voice, and other people.

My practice is rooted in:

  • Trauma-attuned, somatic (body-based) approaches

  • Parts work / Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Queer theory and liberation psychology

  • Abolitionist and anti-oppressive frameworks (e.g. prison abolition and harm reduction)

  • Creativity and play as tools for survival and change

I have over 10 years of experience working with queer and trans street-based youth, women navigating houselessness, drug use and mental health struggles, and people in or recently released from prison. I’ve also worked for many years with youth of all ages and in varying capacities. I have an MA in Gender Studies from Central European University, and am in my final year of another MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, where art therapy has been my primary focus.

If any of the above resonates for you, I’d love to connect.

I have had to learn to invite my broken heart to dine with me at the table. It is meaningless to run now. My broken heart is not a judgment or a crime. It is a detailed record of how I have tried to meet the violence of the world with as much openness as possible.
