A.J. Conley, MS, LMHCA
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate
(she/her/hers)
My path to becoming a mental health counselor began with my own career as a first responder. With over 13 years of combined volunteer and career EMS, fire, and search and rescue experience in remote, rural, and urban areas of southeast Alaska and western Washington, I witnessed and experienced firsthand how the job can carry over to every aspect of life, including personal relationships, home life, identity, and physical health. I bring this understanding to the counseling process to support your unique needs as a first responder.
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Counseling. My past counseling experience includes working with individuals over the age of 18 from diverse backgrounds on concerns including PTSD, substance use disorder recovery, anger management, anxiety, depression, and attachment wounds. I’ve done extensive trainings in EMDR, integrated somatic counseling practices, trauma-informed counseling, and women’s issues.
