Drew Alt, LMHCA
Mental Health Counselor Associate
(he/him)
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship challenges, or the exhaustion of living within systems that don’t honor our full humanity, therapy can offer a place to pause and reconnect. Many people I work with sense that something deeper is there—beneath the patterns, beneath survival—and are longing to feel more alive, more connected, and more themselves.
I believe you are already whole, wise, and worthy, even if parts of you have learned ways of being that make that hard to feel. Therapy becomes a space to approach those patterns with curiosity and care and to reconnect mind, body, and spirit.
My work is collaborative and relational. I practice deep, attentive listening and support people in reconnecting with their independent thinking, power, and humanness. I don’t see therapy as something I do to you—we co-create the path together, following what emerges in the moment and what feels most alive and true.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), a modality rooted in self-compassion and the belief that there are no bad parts of us. I also hold an awareness that what we experience in the present is often connected to earlier life experiences—from our life history, birth experience, and experiences held in the body.
As a parent, I hold an awareness of how relationships, culture, and larger systems shape our inner worlds and our ways of connecting. I am especially drawn to supporting men in exploring emotional depth, identity, and connection, and to working with parents as they navigate the challenges and meaning inherent in raising children. As someone who is Jewish, I carry a deep respect for the cultural, spiritual, and communal dimensions of Jewish life and am honored to support members of the Jewish community. I am LGBTQ+ affirming.
I value creativity, imagination, and expanded ways of knowing. I am pursuing training as a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator and can support clients in preparing for and integrating experiences with expanded states of consciousness.
I trained at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where my education emphasized whole-person healing—integrating mind, body, spirit, and social context. My intention is to offer a space where you can explore, reflect, and reconnect with who you are beneath survival.

“When we heal our own trauma, individually and collectively, we don’t just heal our bodies. By refusing to pass on the trauma we inherited, we help heal the world.”
