Kaaren Goeller-Bloom, MA, LMHCA, NCC
Psychotherapist
(she/her/hers)
I work one-on-one with adults of all ages who feel stuck or incongruent with aspects of the self or with experiences in relationships.
This can sound like, “No matter how hard I try, I don’t feel like things are working,” or, “Something’s wrong with me.” It can feel like being all alone, unlovable, a failure, hopeless.
I meet clients in the tangle of these experiences. Together, we begin to unravel what’s not working, bringing order, coherence and self-compassion. Together, we create new patterns through experiences from which the healing that has been so needed can take place. When increased belonging within the self is gained, so is clarity in identifying and reaching for worthy others.
I join older adults in the challenges associated with getting older, as well as the gains to mental health and wellbeing many also experience. My desire to support those in this stage of life stems from my parents’ care and advocacy for the needs of elders. One of the greatest compliments I’ve received from an older client is, “I feel really seen by you.”
Support for adult children and caregivers is informed by my own experience of caring for aging loved ones. I provide space and emotional support to tend to the stress, overwhelm and difficult emotions that so often eclipses this challenging time.
