Psychotherapist

(she/her)

I work with individuals who find themselves experiencing substantial life changes. Shifts which include loss, career burnout, and cancer survivorship can bring about overwhelm and difficulties. These times can raise existential questions and stability can feel far away. It can feel treacherous to take time for yourself or to come in contact with how you feel in the moment. Hope may not be as readily available or look the way it has in the past. Together we can explore what’s next, mourn what’s lost, reconnect with hope, and perhaps even laugh at the absurd.

I don’t believe there’s a single approach to life or counseling, so I work with clients to find what’s most supportive to their life experience. I am strengths based and inquire about the systems or communities you move within. I tend to find it helpful to identify helpful and less helpful thoughts, feelings, and actions together with clients (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I will also engage with relational and narrative theories, as the meaning we interpret can have a great impact on how we show up to ourselves and each other. My clients and peers describe me as empathetic, genuine (sometimes awkward), and kind.

Prior to counseling, I led teams and championed curiosity for over a decade in tech marketing and advertising. You may find this experience helpful in understanding the high demands and expectations you may face. I can confidently report experiencing my own “rip it down to the studs and rebuild the metaphorical house that is my life” moment has increased my understanding and empathy in making meaningful life changes.

I don’t shy away from uncomfortable conversations, especially regarding health, grief, and death. I believe strongly in the power of traveling alongside whatever you are navigating and creating communities of care.
