Psychotherapist

(she/her)

Sometimes the ways we’ve learned to protect ourselves become the very things that keep us from the connection and aliveness we long for. You may feel disconnected from yourself or the people you love, caught in familiar patterns you don’t know how to change, or moving through a loss or transition. For couples, you may love one another deeply and still find yourselves caught in patterns that leave you feeling distant, misunderstood, or alone.

Questions of belonging and connection are deeply personal to me. I understand the pain of longing to belong. I don’t see the parts of us that struggle, protect, withdraw, or react as problems to fix. Instead, we can meet them with curiosity and reverence for the work they have done to keep us safe, while exploring whether they are allowing us to live and connect in the ways we want.

There is a place for grief in this work, too. It is woven throughout our lives, yet our culture often gives us little space to acknowledge or tend to it. Grief does not belong only to death; we grieve relationships, unrealized dreams, parts of ourselves that did not receive the love or care they needed, and the state of the world around us. We can also grieve the connection that once existed in a relationship but now feels out of reach. Some losses go largely unseen, including pet loss, leaving us to carry our pain alone.

Whatever brings you to therapy, I bring presence, warmth, curiosity, honesty, and a little humor to our work together. My approach is relational and experiential, drawing from attachment, emotion-focused, somatic, systems, and parts-based therapies. I work from a social justice-informed and neurodiversity-affirming perspective, with attention to the relationships and larger systems that shape our lives. When it fits, I also welcome creativity, movement, nature, and time outdoors into our work.
