Psychotherapist

(she/her)

Many people come to therapy knowing something in their lives needs to change but not understanding why changing it is so difficult. You may feel anxious or overwhelmed by self-doubt, be grieving a loss, or find yourself repeating familiar patterns in relationships. Together, we’ll slow things down and become curious about what’s happening beneath the surface.

My approach is relational and psychodynamic, with attention to both emotional experience and the body. We’ll explore how your experiences and relationships have shaped you, including ways of coping and relating that may operate outside of your awareness. As you begin to understand yourself more fully, new possibilities can emerge in how you relate to others, make choices, and respond to what life brings.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 25 years teaching yoga, mindfulness, and contemplative practices. Working closely with people through periods of growth and change has been a thread throughout my professional life and continues to shape the way I practice psychotherapy today.

I believe people make sense in the context of their lives. Therapy offers a place to understand that context more fully, make room for parts of yourself that may have been difficult to know or express, and discover new possibilities for your relationship with yourself, with others, and with the life you want to create.
