I am a curious and complex person who appreciates curiosity and complexity in others. I love working with autistic people, people who have ADHD, people who struggle with anxiety and depression, people deconstructing religion, and the LGBTQ+ population. I myself am queer and neurodivergent, and of Puerto Rican descent; anti-colonial and anti-fascist. I have struggled with feeling “wrong” in so many ways and have utilized therapy and self work to feel whole and loved. I hope to help others do the same.
My favorite work to do is on understanding the self and honoring everything that makes someone an individual, especially the parts that can seem ugly or scary or shameful. A person’s relationship to themselves is the single most important thing in their life, and I am passionate about helping people on the journey to knowing who they are, and hopefully accepting and appreciating themselves for it.
I work best with people who are open and do the work between sessions. I deeply value humor and authenticity and bring those to sessions when appropriate. The best therapy happens when the people in the room feel safe with each other, so being ourselves to the best of our ability is important. Some dark humor can really help too.
I also have experience working with adolescents, eating disorders, childhood trauma, body image, psychedelics, and addiction.
I’m a passionate music fan, animal lover, and gamer. If you relate to those things, I love to connect over them. Some of the best mantras are song lyrics!
